And What a Birthday it Was

I have officially joined the 30s club, and I’ll tell ya what, the evening was fabulous. Be prepared for grainy, yet fun, photographs!

As you may have read in the last Counting Down to 30 post, my night was spent in Grand Rapids with a bunch of friends from near and far. We had a great dinner at the best Mexican restaurant and I was fortunate to be able to sit and chat with friends I haven’t seen in a couple years. Some even drove more than an hour to be there! I’m one lucky lady.

One of my besties, Allie, pulled out all the stops and bought me some 30s swag to wear, balloons, and a table centerpiece. Here’s a photo showcasing some of the hilarity.

Apart from a fantastic meal, a smaller group of us went to a few hot spots in the area for drinks. I can’t say it got too crazy, but all in all it was a great night and definitely worth staying up way too late.

Birthday4Birthday5Apart from my actual celebration, I received so many nice  birthday messages and texts from people. If you’re one of those people, THANK YOU! Although the final days of my 20s were an emotional roller coaster, some good news is around the corner, and I’ll share more details about that in an upcoming post.

Not much else could have made me feel as blessed and as loved as I felt on Saturday. And I hope I can say that again every year throughout the rest of my life.
