It appears that spring has finally arrived in my neck of the United States, and the warmer temps and sunny days have inspired me to share with you my favorite nail polishes for the season!
This time around we have three shades from China Glaze, one from Zoya, and one from OPI. Sorry in advance for the lack of cleanup around the cuticles. I kind of forgot before I snapped the photos!
China Glaze — Keep Calm, Paint On
The little details make this polish a great choice for spring. The pale green is really, really pretty, and if you look closely, you’ll see a very subtle silver shimmer within the formula. That shimmer takes this color up a notch and makes it hard not to love. It’s certainly reminiscent of spring grass, and I even think Easter when I see it. I also love that this green is not too blue toned or yellow toned, as some greens can be. It’s perfect for spring!
OPI — My Chihuahua Bites!
Surprised to see such a pop of color on this list? Don’t be! This is a bright — but not too bright — coral shade. It’s cheerful, makes me think of increasingly warmer temperatures and sunshine, and is a really great choice for a transitional color from spring to summer. And if you haven’t assumed by now, My Chihuahua Bites! looks great on toes!
China Glaze — Fade Into Hue
This color in particular reminds me of lilacs that bloom in the back yard of the apartment I now live in. It’s a great, feminine color that can really stand out when you wear clothes in contrasting colors, or fade into the background. This periwinkle shade is a unique one in my collection, and I think it should be added to yours, too!
Zoya — Blu
I’m fully aware how appropriate the name of this polish is! More often not, spring means pastel colors. I don’t have many pastels in my polish arsenal, but Blu is one I had to purchase. It reminds me of the sky, filled with wispy clouds, and it’s really delicate looking on the nail.
China Glaze — Life is Rosy
Can you blame me for including this color? It screams flowers. This is a fantastic alternative for those who don’t want that screamingly bright pink color on their nails. Sometimes it’s just nice to find a muted, dusty color! Life is Rosy definitely fits that bill for me, and had to be added to this list.
What spring shades are you rocking this season? Let me know in comments!
And of course, a few months from now I will be back with my favorite picks for summer!
