I don’t know about you, but I have trouble falling asleep and staying asleep. It’s been a problem since at least high school and it’s a rare occasion when I feel well rested. It’s often hard to get out of bed each morning, feeling bright eyed and ready to face the eight-hour work day.

However, I found something that helps me get to sleep faster — and helps me feel all warm and cozy before heading under the covers. Sleepytime Tea from Celestial Seasonings is just the ticket. In just minutes, I can be sipping on a hot brew while winding down the final hour of my day.

Sleepytime Tea4I’m not a tea person. Honestly, I’ve never liked the taste of tea because I’ve always thought the flavors were too diluted and bland. I tried plain chamomile tea and felt like I was eating the grass in my backyard. No thanks. But when I tried Sleepytime Tea and let the bag steep for 6-10 minutes, the flavors satisfied me.  And I did notice a difference when crawling into bed. I felt drowsy and it didn’t take long for me to drift off once my head hit the pillow.

Drinking Sleepytime Tea has become a routine now, with my other half enjoying a couple of tablespoons of sugar in his. We normally purchase Sleepytime Extra, which includes ingredients like spearmint, lemongrass, chamomile and orange blossoms, but the added valerian is the good stuff which kicks your brain into relaxation mode.

There also are other Sleepytime Tea flavors, such as lemon jasmine and berry pomegranate made with green tea, peach, vanilla, echinacea and honey. You also can find Sleepytime Tea to help with sinus and throat issues.

As an added bonus, the company promotes eco-friendly packaging and not only uses 100% recycled material, but does not package each individual tea bag and uses a pillow-style bag made of natural fibers to save waste from ending up in landfills. I can get behind that! And for those who need or want it, Sleepytime Tea is gluten free.

Sleepytime Tea5Want to try Sleepytime Tea for yourself? Here’s your chance! I’m hosting a giveaway opportunity where you can win your own box of Sleepytime Extra. All you have to do to enter is make sure to “Like” my page on Facebook and like this specific post on that page. See? Easy!

I will pick a random winner and announce the lucky person on my blog on Tuesday, Oct. 20. Good luck!
